BE-Hive mozz sticks

mozzarella sticks!

You will need:

1 Pack of Be-Hive Vegan coconut mozz (or any other block vegan cheese TBH)
Breadcrumbs (we used panko)
Flour
Oil to fry
Italian Herbs, garlic powder, red pepper flakes and salt
Sauce to dip it in!

HOW TO!

At least 8 hours before you’re going to do this, you need to cut up your cheese into sticks and freeze it. This helps them not melt out when you fry.

Get three bowls out, fill one with panko, Italian herbs, red pepper flakes. Fill another with flour, garlic powder and salt both. In the third, make a batter with water and the flour mixture.  To make Gluten Free, just use GF panko bread crumbs and GF flour instead!

Be smarter than me and use much bigger bowls. 

You want to have one wet hand and one dry hand. 

Double coat your cheese Dry Wet Dry Wet then pack on the panko. The double coat helps really seal in the mozzarella. If you don’t do this, you’ll just have ol’ leaky cheese in your frying oil.  It’s gonna get messy but it’s worth it.

Once you’ve breaded all your sticks, it’s time to fry!

Fry until golden, taking them out if cheese starts to leak out. 


Serve up with your favorite red sauce and now you can take over the world with the legendary secret of the vegan mozz stick.
